What's this sore near my dog's eye? Bug bite, wart, or infection?

That looks like it could be an infection, skin mites or perhaps ringworm (which humans can get). I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian if the lesion does not start getting better on it's own within the next few days. May sure he cannot rub the area and don't put anything on the area since it's so close to his eye. You can also have him examined sooner and not wait. This can be caused by an infection, which may have resulted from a small cut. While Kona is pretty young, it is possible that the bump is a small tumor, and it can be removed to determine if it is benign (not harmful) or malignant (likely to spread). It is concerning that the bump has gotten bigger over time, so I recommend having her seen by a vet. You can get her an E-collar or "cone" to prevent her from scratching or rubbing the area. Hi, and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. From your pictures it appears that Kona may have hives. Monitor her closely for any other signs of illness. If she vomits any more, the bumps spread or get bigger, or she has any other itching she should go to an emergency clinic. Any coughing or swelling of her face and she needs to be treated immediately. She may have gotten stung or bitten by an insect or having a reaction to a plant in the grass. In some cases, giving a dose benedryl can help. I hope Kona is feeling better soon.

It sounds like Kona's skin had a reaction to the cuticle lotion, and the things you are putting on it are not working. Given that the sore has been there for two weeks with no sign of healing, I would take Kona into the vet today or tomorrow for an exam. The vet can clean it, and can prescribe medication to help it heal.

Poor girl. This almost looks like an insect bite. Since it isn't bothering her, you can opt to just monitor this area for the next 1-2 weeks to see if it spontaneously regresses (resolves on its own). In the meantime you can clean the area with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water daily to keep it from getting infected. If the swelling does not reduce in size or causes any irritation at any point, then it should be looked at by your veterinarian. I hope that Kona's swelling resolves soon! Best wishes and take care.

It is possible but not likely. It can be local irritation or infection from a small wound or it may be a small growth that is causing irritation. Place an e-collar (cone) on her if she is scratching or rubbing. This may be enough to allow healing. If not, have Maggie examined by your veterinarian to diagnose infection or injury.

As long as Chief is not showing any other symptoms such as lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. then I would just monitor this for now and see if these go down on their own.
