My dog is coughing, gagging, and throwing up yellow foam all night.

Poor Snow. She could have a respiratory infection causing the coughing and she may have coughed so hard she vomited. Given that this has been going on for three days, it's time to see the vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing her cough and can treat her. I'd take her into a vet today. I hope this helps!

Cough can be caused by an infection, heart problem or lung condition, it is important to first know the cause before treating it as treatment is different from condition to another. The most common disease causing cough is a viral infection called Kennel cough, this disease usually resolves without treatment within a couple weeks but if the cough is too severe it is recommended to go to the vet in order to get cough medicine and antibiotics.

I am sorry to hear about Bubu. I would recommend bringing him in to the vet for an examination (particularly because he is a pug so he already has a compromised respiratory system due to his conformation so it is best for any possible respiratory problem to be seen as soon as possible). This could be an issue with the respiratory tract such as kennel cough, or it could be a gastrointestinal issue. The vet will listen to his heart and lungs, palpate his throat, and may recommend x-rays based on their exam. It is not likely related to your family's illness as dogs do not normally catch human flu virus.

It sounds more like your dog is experiencing severe and productive cough. as this happens only during the night i would recommend getting it checked by your vet, it could be a heart problem, an infection or a lung disease.

It sounds like Roxie has developed kennel cough which is like doggy flu. The cough is typical and the foam is produced due to airway irritation. I would make an appointment as she will benefit from an antinflammatory and may need an antibiotic. You could give her a little warm honey in water to help her in the mean time.

Hello. Coughing & gagging is pretty indicative of tracheobronchitis, or kennel cough, but in a 14 year old dog, I would be concerned about heartworm disease, heart failure, lung disease, tracheal collapse or bronchitis. So, there are many things that can cause a cough such as this. Only a good examination by your veterinarian, some blood tests & possibly a chest x-ray may be needed to fully diagnose Honey. What you describe sounds a lot like symptoms of canine infectious tracheobronchitis, also known as kennel cough. If she has been exposed to any other dogs, such as groomer, dog park, boarding facility, newly adopted dogs etc within the last 2 Weeks then this would be high on my list of concerns. Kennel cough is often self limiting. However if no exposure known then I would be more Concerned about issues such aspiration pneumonia, object lodged in throat, heart disease, and heart worm. Coughing is always concerning to me and I would highly encourage you to have Pinky evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.
