It could be Maren ate something when she was outside that upset her stomach or she may have hurt herself. Without seeing her in person, I can't say what is going on. I do think it's a good idea to have her seen by a vet for a health check. I hope this helps!

There is also the possibility she is having pain while urinating and/or defecating and therefore may be associating the area she goes wee and poo with the pain she may be experiencing. I think the best thing to do in this situation is encourage to go out (perhaps join or accompany her) or take her for a walkie to see if she goes then. If not and you are still concerned, especially if she hasn't passed urine or stool soon, then I would recommend you see your veterinarian for an exam. A urinary tract infection can cause pain during urination and constipation can cause pain during defecation. I would want to be sure there is nothing more serious going on if this behavior continues. I am so sorry to hear of these concerns for Nypsy. Changes in behavior such as increased anxiety and inappropriate eating can be an indication of a neurological issue. This could be a condition known as canine cognitive dysfunction (doggy dementia), lesions in the brain can also affect behavior and are more commonly suspected if there is increased aggression or the onset of seizures. The change in appetite could be due to a metabolic issue such as kidney disease, which can cause a pet to feel nauseous. These types of conditions would require bloodwork with your veterinarian to diagnose. Dental disease is also very common in older, small breed dogs. It can contribute to changes in food intake due to oral pain. I would recommend tempting Nypsy with some tasty treats such as boiled chicken or a little canned dog food. Also do not offer her any more sweet tea-sugar is not good for our pets and if Nypsy is suffering from some sort of metabolic issue it could make things worse. When you are able I would recommend taking Nypsy to your regular Vet for a thorough physical exam and possibly some bloodwork to rule out anything significant.

It may be time to speak with a local trainer or animal behaviorist in your area to see if they can observe what is going on in person. This can help them to formulate a plan that may help Peanut regain her confidence outside. Usually, this involves taking small steps by exposing her to being outside for longer periods, and offering treats and praise when she is calm and successful. If she becomes too nervous, taking a break and letting her calm down before trying again can help. If the anxiety continues, it is also a good idea to rule out any health issues with your veterinarian, as some illnesses can cause sudden behavioral changes or anxiety, especially if there is pain. Your vet can also prescribe an anti-anxiety medication if needed during your training plan to help make things a little easier on Peanut.

Not eating or more than just a day is definitely concerning, particularly if this is highly unusual and she's turning away things like chicken. I would be concerned about some sort of infectious or inflammatory process going on, a primary or secondary gastrointestinal issue, or one of her organ systems (liver or kidney) acting up in some fashion. If she also isn't taking anything to drink, I would definitely be worrying about dehydration setting in. If she hasn't taken anything for you by the morning, get her into the veterinarian for a check up. Unless they are able to make a determination which is obvious based on physical exam, they will want to likely run some diagnostic blood work and perhaps imaging. Hope this makes sense.

Aww, I’m sorry to hear about Daisy! I see this commonly with either pain or anxiety. These little guys can easily injure their backs and legs which can cause changes in behavior and the way they stand- as well as shaking. You may also notice Daisy avoiding the dog door or refusing to jump on beds/couches as she normally does. I recommend taking her in for a good physical exam to see if this might be the case. Any sudden change in behavior from the normal can be a sign of a medical illness, and I would have Luna seen by a vet today. Eating feces can be a sign of intestinal parasites in dogs, and if she had a heavy burden of them, that would cause her to feel very unwell. A health check by the vet can diagnose if there is a medical cause behind her behavior, and can treat her for it.
