Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | 7 lbs

My dog needs a MRI,AND PROBABLY surgery, does anybody know how much this will cost and will the surgery work. In last 3 days she can't walk or stand. I have to hold her while she urinate.

I'm sorry Mai Mai isn't doing well! An MRI typically costs $1100-1500, and that may not include the anesthesia, which can cost a couple of hundred dollars as well. Depending on the surgery he needs, that will likely be in the thousands, as a spinal surgery (which I'm assuming she needs as she can't walk or stand) is an extremely delicate and specialized surgery. Depending on the cause of her symptoms, yes surgery can be successful, and may return her to walking and standing. Without seeing her in person or knowing her exact diagnosis, I can't say for sure, so I do recommend speaking to your vet about her prognosis. Hope this helps!
