My dog has brown cheek stains and circular rashes. What could it be?

This is suspicious of ringworm (a fungal infection of the skin). This could also be due to a yeast or bacteria infection. It's best to get it diagnosed by a veterinarian, because ringworm can spread to different parts of the body and can spread to people. Poor Ricky! Red circular lesions on the skin can be indicative of ringworm. He could also have allergies or a skin infection. As for itching his ears, that could mean he has an ear infection, which can be caused by mites, yeast, or bacteria. I would take him into a vet today or tomorrow. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics). It certainly isn't normal to have a rash on the belly, and it could be caused by a contact allergy, ringworm, or a skin infection. The vet can diagnose what is causing the rash so it can be treated. I would take him into the vet in the morning.

Yes, I see what you mean about Winston's skin. The single mark could be from a tick or a black fly bite. The rash is also concerning. I do think he needs to see a vet for these problems, and I would take him into one in the morning.

Those spots on Prince could be several things including allergies, skin mites, flea bites, ringworm (which humans can get) or a bacterial infection. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing his diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. You can wash the lesions with soap once a day and rinse well (don't wash his whole body, just those spots). Protect the areas from licking or scratching. If they don't start looking better within about a week or if they get worse, have him examined by his veterinarian who may prescribe medications. If this is ringworm, yes, your other dog could already be infected. Lesions may not show up for up to 4 weeks so keep a close eye on the pup. The most common reason that we see red circular rashes in dogs are actually bacterial skin infection. Tick bites rarely cause red circular rashes in dogs (it's more common in people). Ringworm certainly can cause a circular rash, but they often aren't red in dogs. I would recommend having your vet examine Chance and determine what they think is going on. They may be able to tell by looking at it, or they may need to do some special skin tests like skin scrapings or skin cytology in order to determine the best treatment for Chance.
