My dog has body sores, vomiting, and eye pus. What should I do?

Hello, sorry to hear about Anya. Most GI sings of diarrhea may resolve with a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless and boneless chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. However, other more severe causes of this such as liver or kidney disease, inflammation of the bowel, and ingestion of foreign material may will require that your veterinarian examine Anya. If she develops persistent vomiting or diarrhea then I would recommend having her evaluated by her primary care veterinarian as she may need bloodwork and x-rays to be prescribed the adequate medications. In the interim, monitor her for persistent vomiting (more than 3 episodes in 1 day), diarrhea with blood, severe lethargy, or loss of appetite and contact your veterinarian if you note any. Annie needs to be examined by the veterinarian today. It sounds like she is very sick and there is nothing you can do for her at home at this point. Just like humans, pets can get sick for many many reasons. Some of these can be treated IF THEY ARE CAUGHT IN TIME. Other reasons will be fatal. Have her examined today to find out your options and so that Annie does not suffer if she is found to have something not treatable. Euthanasia is a hard decision but it relieves suffering. My concern for Annie is that with and much vomiting and diarrhea and being so young and small is dehydration. Also young thin animals can get low blood sugar if they aren't eating or holding food down. Causes of vomiting and diarrhea in young kittens are parasites, viruses, eating something that didn't agree with them, foreign bodies, toxins, congenital liver problems, etc. Unfortunately, my recommendation is that you take her to the Veterinarian. There isn't any home remedy. In some areas there are local shelters that have veterinary clinics that can be low cost. I wish you and Annie the best.

She could have allergies if her skin is turning pink and she might need an anti-histamine and/or a corticosteroid to help treat. If she is itching her rear end on the floor then she might need her anal glands expressed. The vomiting may have been caused by eating something that upset her stomach since it only happened once and seems to have resolved. Monitor her for additional signs and have her seen on Monday. If she becomes very lethargic then she needs to be seen sooner. You could buy a thermometer and take a rectal temperature to see if she does have a fever. A dog's body temperature is higher than ours and normal can be up to 102.5 degrees.

This is probably due to an allergy, although it could also be infection or mites. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment (advocate or advantage), then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics). Regarding the vomiting, I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. Poor pup! He should see a vet right away, as it's recommended to see one when a dog is both vomiting and having diarrhea. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, have pancreatitis, or a foreign body. I would take him into a vet now, who can diagnose what is causing his symptoms and treat accordingly.

Poor Willow! This white pus in his eyes are a sign of an eye infection, and he has to see a vet immediately for it. The eye is such an important and delicate structure that any problem with them should be considered an emergency. Leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Willow into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see him now. While there, the vet can investigate the cause of his vomiting, which can certainly be caused by eating something he shouldn't, as well as parvovirus, GI illness, or a foreign body.
