Why does my dog have blood spots on his belly near his genital area?

It looks like a hot spot which is similar to human ezcema. Usually it is treated with cleaning, steroids and antibiotics. If you can't get to a vet most importantly stop him licking it, make a collar. Keep it clean with chlorhexidine or iodine then pat dry. If you have a cream such as hydrocortisone you can apply it daily. If it is not improving or spreading, which may occur, you will have to head to the vet

I get concerned with things a lot sooner with such a young puppy. The watery blood would make me recommend an exam by itself. I would want a urine sample to see if there is blood in the urine. The pustules have me concerned about a bacterial infection. I would recommend taking him in for an evaluation by a veterinarian. He might need to be on antibiotics or at least a topical medication. These small scabs, or crusts, could be due to an injury like a fight/bite wound or could be due to an allergy. Allergies can cause a dog to be very itchy and can lead to a skin infection that can look very much like the pictures you have shared. If the spots are widespread throughout the coat I would recommend taking Magic in to your vet to be examined. If there are just a few spots, then you can try treating them topically with some antibiotic ointment to get them to clear up. I hope this helps. Poor guy. I am so sorry Charlie is ill and has this suspicious erythematous lesion on his belly near his penis. This looks like a possible mild bleeding under the skin or potentially an adverse reaction to a tick or black fly bite. A black fly bite wouln't cause systemic illness however (not eating, lethargy). There is possibly an internal issues going on here and more information is needed to determine what exactly. I would recommend taking him in to the vet first thing in the morning. He should be stable enough to wait until morning as long as she is not having any of the following: 1) Pale gums 2) Severe lethargy and non-responsiveness 3) Excessive vomiting that is continuous 4) More red spots developing on the skin in various places If he does not show any of the above symptoms, then it is likely ok to wait until morning to get Charlie seen and fully evaluated. The main concern is if there is an underlying bleeding disorder or immune system disoder (i.e. IMHA, IMTP). I hope that things work out well for your pet Charlie and that he feels better soon! This looks like a possible mass that has a really good blood supply or even a blood blister. I would try applying a cold compress on it for 5-10 minutes, if a vet is not readily available. If you can get the bleeding to stop tonight I would leave it be for now and then get this checked in the morning by your vet if possible. However if you cannot get the bleeding to stop even after the cold compress and perhaps even placing a make-shift wrap around it, then an ER vet visit has to be considered to stabilize the area. However, an ER vet visit is usually only needed if it is gushing blood, for fear or too much blood loss. If it is oozing then it likely can wait until morning before seeking veterinary assistance. Unless it is actually bleeding (dripping blood), there is nothing you need to do. The body will repair this in time. Should the hematoma get bigger, ie the red spot expand, you will need to take Gus to a vet for a coagulation check, as he may have a problem with his blood clotting ability. Should you find more red spots like this, for example in his mouth , on his gums or in his ears, then he needs to be taken to the vet right away as he may have ingested an anticoagulant (such as warfarin or similar rat poison).

Hi, sometimes dogs can get blood blisters usually on their underside. If it's not bothering her, leave it alone. Iy may go away on its own or stay there. If you think she's bothered by it, she should see a vet about getting it removed. But it doesn't mean anything bad is going on. Good luck, I hope this helps!
