Why is my German Shepherd's back swollen with lumps and hair loss?

Parasites, cancer, malabsorption or metabolic disorders can all lead to dogs loosing weight and hair. GSD can be prone to pancreatic insufficeincy that can affect absorption of nutrients. I would recomend a vet visit for an medical assessment and also evaluate the lump on her arm.

This bump is a little unusual although it's always difficult to tell in a picture - it could be a comedone but it does not look raised. If there are multiple bumps you should probably have your vet take a look in person. The scratching could be related to allergies or fleas or other external parasites, and it's possible that these spots are related.

To me is sounds like Broodie may have a skin infection known as bacterial dermatitis. This can be caused secondarily by allergies, mite infestations, flea problems, and food allergies. It may be an ulcerated growth from a pressure sore if he seems to lay on that side more. If there is a discharge then it is likely infected and will need antibiotics. Your vet can sample some cells and see if it is a growth or a pressure sore and advise if surgery is recommended in that area

This is probably due to an allergy, although it could also be infection or mites. It sounds like this is some kind of skin growth. Dogs can develop melanomas of the skin along with many other benign growths. I would recommend having your vet take a look - they might recommend taking a sample with a small needle to determine what this might be, or they might recommend going ahead and removing it.
