My 8-week-old boxer ate fuzz and is feeling unwell. Is it serious?

Throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast him for 24 hours and then put him on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the vomiting or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog stays lethargic, he needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Oh no! How naughty of Zoe! Fudge alone could lead to gastrointestinal upset with vomiting and diarrhea, or even trigger a case of pancreatitis. However, if the fudge contained sufficient quantities of chocolate, this could lead to other problems, such as heart arrhythmias, seizures, tremors, or even death in severe cases. If the fudge contained chocolate, the potential problems can vary based on the type of chocolate, amount of chocolate in the recipe, and Zoe's 60 pound body weight. I recommend taking a look at the fudge recipe to obtain this information, and then feel free to post another question, request a consultation, or call the ASPCA animal poison control center ((888) 426-4435). If Zoe ate the fudge within the past 2 hours, I recommend taking her directly to your vet or an emergency vet so that vomiting can be induced. (Studies have shown that inducing vomiting with hydrogen peroxide is not safe and can cause significant irritation to the stomach and esophagus, so I do not recommend attempting this at home.) If it has been longer than 2 hours since she ate the fudge, it does not contain chocolate, and she is otherwise eating and acting normally, you can try to switch Zoe to a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for the next few days. If she does not develop vomiting and diarrhea after 3-4 days, gradually transition her back to her normal diet by mixing the bland diet and normal food together for another 5-7 days. However, if Zoe begins to have vomiting, diarrhea, does not eat, or becomes lethargic, she will need to go to the vet for further evaluation. I hope this helps and that all goes well for Zoe!

Poor girl. Her symptoms indicate a possible GI (gastrointestinal) upset or could indicate another underlying condition such as liver disease, kidney disease, or even pancreatitis. I would stop giving the bread and pasta, since these could very well be the culprit. If she continues to vomit even after stopping this, then its best to get Kes seen by your vet for some testing to help determine the underlying cause for her periodic vomiting episodes. This dog is in serious need of a vet exam. Really, she looks awful. Poor thing. Please get her to a vet for an exam. The vet can tell you what steps to take to get her back to health after the exam has been done. I am very concerned about the vomiting and her weight.

Poor Johnny! I would have him seen by a vet as soon as possible. In an 11 year old Boxer, his anorexia and vomiting could be caused by something serious such as a systemic infection, kidney failure, cardiac disease, liver disease, or even cancer. I recommend having a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, urinalysis, and x-rays done on Johnny to diagnose what is causing his symptoms. Once a cause is found, the vet can discuss any possible treatment options.

Poor Oscar sounds like he isn't feeling well at all lately! He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or could have pancreatitis. It is concerning that he was vomiting before, stopped, and now started again. I'm also concerned that you describe him as pacing because that can be a sign of bloat. Boxers have deep chests and are very prone to bloat, which is fatal without treatment. Given that these symptoms have reappeared and he is prone to bloat, the best thing to do is take him into a vet right away. The vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms and the best way to treat him. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Likely Bean is experiencing some stomach upset eating the fuzz and vomiting. I recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours, then feeding a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
