My dog ate a fireball candy, threw up, but didn't get it out. Is she okay?

It is likely this hard candy will be broken down in her stomach by the stomach acid, but the sugar from it may give her a tummy ache. I would check the ingredients of the hard candy to make sure there is no xylitol in it. That's because xylitol is highly toxic to dogs, and if it does have that ingredient, she will need to see a vet immediately. Xylitol ingestion can be fatal. Otherwise, she should be fine aside from the chance of GI upset in the form of vomiting and/or diarrhea. Should you see that, withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet.

If Roxie is still vomiting, then I would take her in to your vet. In the future, if she starts vomiting then it is recommended to remove food and water so she takes in nothing orally for 6 to 8 hours. If she continues to vomit despite taking nothing in, time to head to the vet. If she stops vomiting then you can slowly reintroduce small amounts of water at first, then bland food like cooked white rice and boiled shredded chicken breast in small amounts. If vomiting restarts, then she needs to see the vet. If at any point she seemed painful, very lethargic, or vomits blood then these would also be reasons to seek veterinary care ASAP.

I am sorry Roxy is not feeling well. I would recommend taking Roxy to a veterinarian. She could have easily developed pancreatitis but she may just have a intestinal upset from it. Hello, the calcium content in that chew should be well tolerated by Thunder. The magnesium content may cause GI signs such as constipation, loose stools, or even diarrhea. If you are near a veterinarian, you may have them induce vomiting and measure his calcium and magnesium levels with bloodwork. Alternatively, you can monitor at home for any evidence of increased drinking, increased urinations, loose stools, or diarrhea and contact your veterinarian immediately if you note any.
