My dog ate Corlanor and vomited. Is the medication out of her system?

Side effects that could be caused by this type of intoxication are mainly gastrointestinal like vomiting and diarrhoea. If that is the cases, start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if you notice persisting diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. Unfortunately these medications are designed to last for long time in the body as they are usually due once a month (so it will take approximately one month to be completely out).

But he likely will be fine! If he receives any of these medications twice daily just skip tonight's dose. Even if they are just once a day medications he will likely be fine. It can take a few hours to see signs, but it can cause severe drops in blood pressure that can be life-threatening. Please take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

A single dose of this size of Vetoryl will likely pose no serious risk of toxicity. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea or loss of appetite. See your veterinarian if any of these symptoms develop.

He should be fine. You may see some vomiting, diarrhea and/or lethargy. He would need to ingest 8 of the pills for there to be a risk of toxicity. If necessary, withhold food for 24 hours, allowing small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until any symptoms of GI upset resolve. Transition slowly to his regular diet afterwards. If symptoms persist or worsen, have him examined by your veterinarian.

Hello. Cora consumed the equivalent of 9.7 mg/kg of naproxin. We begin to see GI signs like vomiting & diarrhea, possibly with blood at 7 mg/kg & kidney damage at 13 mg/kg. Since there are other factors that may impact how badly Cora may react to the medication, including any preexisting conditions, dehydration, etc., I think it would be prudent to take Cora to an emergency clinic for decontamination & any possible treatment.
