My dog is anxious about the new AC. How can I help her adjust?

Dog's can definitely act strangely around or after the time of their first heat, so I would definitely consider that a possibility. As you also said, it has only been a couple of days with this brand new stuff being introduced that Mabel has to get used to. Unless these sort of behavior changes persist for a week or more or other clinical signs of illness begin to exist, I wouldn't start to worry just yet. Unfortunately it sounds like Kai has developed a negative association with the house due to the noise from the TV - I'm probably not telling you anything you didn't already suspect there, right? These can be tough situations to resolve, but you can definitely do it. You'll have to start pairing really positive things (delicious treats, very special toys, etc) with the house, and only with the house. Continue to take her out as needed, and go slow with her. If you're not crate training, consider doing so, as it will provide her with a place that's all her own that she can feel safe in. Also, keep the TV off during these period and consider putting on soft, volume-controlled music to soothe her.

Puppies are prone to getting cold, so I would only do this if it seems that it's too hot in their environment. You can start with a low amount of AC if needed and turn it up if they tolerate it well. You will know the puppies are too cold if they forming a tight huddle next to or under mom. If they are more spread out, then this would indicate that they are very warm. It sounds like Sweetie May have some anxiety- not surprising considering she just got brought into a whole new world where everything is different. Be patient with her. Using treats is a great way to decrease anxiety. Sitting next to her kennel and talking to her gently and giving her tiny treats for 10 minutes at a time will go a long way. You may try to find a CD or other audio recording of traffic or even motorcycle sounds. Once you find one, play it in your house at all times at a low level. Gradually increase the volume. This helps the brain to become adjusted to the sound and normalize it. You should also get a high-value treat. When you are on a walk with him as soon as he sees a motorcycle call his name and give him the treat.
