I recommend a full physical by your vet to investigate the source of his pain and discomfort and advise on the most appropriate treatment. Mack is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, maybe he is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe he is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible in order to get him checked, if he doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with Mack.

There are a wide variety of health problems that can cause shaking/crying and decreased appetite. Pain or discomfort from a number of health problems could cause the shaking and crying. Decreased appetite may be due to pain or can be due to nausea from any number of health issues such as orthopedic conditions, organ dysfunction, infections, autoimmune diseases, toxins, or certain types of cancers. Due to the variety of possibilities in this case, I would highly recommend Fido be seen by his veterinarian right away for an evaluation. I am sorry to hear about your dachsund! We worry with shivering and whimpering about pain. It can be difficult to determine where a dog is painful at home. One common cause of pain in a dachsund is neck or back pain. Unfortunately these guys are prone to getting herniated disks in their back, where the slipped disk presses on the spinal cord causing discomfort. In mild cases we just might see pain. In more severe cases we can see weakness or even paralysis of the legs. This is just one possible cause of pain, but it is a definite possibility in this breed. The lump in her armpit may be totally unrelated to her pain. We could have a soft tissue growth/tumor which could be benign, like a lipoma (fatty tumor), or a more aggressive tumor. It could be an enlarged lymph node, a cyst, or an abscess (pocket of infection). I would recommend an examination by your vet ASAP. If Chloe seems weak, disoriented, if her gums look pale in color, or she cannot rest/relax comfortably then an exam at the emergency vet may be wise because she could be in discomfort all night.

Poor Niko! I am not sure if he is still having problems but it sounds like he could be experiencing some pain. He could have back/neck pain or possibly dental disease and pain while eating. Have your vet examine him to determine the cause and treat. He may need an anti-inflammatory and pain medications to help. Hope he is feeling better soon!

Shaking can be a sign of anxiety, but it can also be a sign of pain. Back/neck and abdominal pain in particular can be difficult to localize and sometimes reluctance to move and shaking are the only signs. Shaking can also be a sign of a fever. If you think Peanut might be painful or if he continues to show no interest in his regular food I'd recommend seeing your vet for an exam. They can look for a source of pain and evaluate his temperature.

I would continue monitor him for the next 12 hrs to see if this behavior continues. If it does then the next best step is to get some baseline bloodwork to look for underlying issues. You can also feel around to see if Snickers is painful in any particular area. That can help the vet focus on that one area to look for underlying causes. At this age most dogs also have arthritis, so it is a good idea to get Snickers on a daily joint supplement regardless.
