My 7-week-old puppy is barely walking. Should I worry? How to help?

I'm sorry to hear that your pup isn't doing well. I recommend taking him to an emergency clinic right away for evaluation. His blood sugar could be low, he could have a liver issue that is allowing toxins to build up in his system, he could have a congenital issue with his digestive tract, or something else entirely. His vet will likely do an exam, draw a bit of blood, and maybe take x-rays. I hope he's feeling better soon!

Get some honey and smear it on his lips and gums and get him to a vet immediately. Small breed puppies can get low blood sugar very easily and if he does not have low blood sugar it won't hurt anything. Keep him warm and dry and get him to your vet now. He may need diagnostics and supportive care to help him recover.

Hello. This is most likely just due to how the puppy developed in utero. Hopefully, with time, the legs will strengthen. You can very gently manipulate the legs, doing range of motion exercises, but it would be best to have your veterinarian examine the puppy & show you the best way to help this little one. Yes, he should be checked by your veterinarian ASAP. This is not normal behavior for a puppy. He may be sick, anemic, have a low blood sugar or have suffered some kind of injury. Due to his very young age, he could decline quickly and the sooner he is checked, the better.

Sounds like Ori may have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) but that is not common in this size or age of puppy. I suggest you give a bit of Karo syrup or honey by mouth (just a teaspoon or two). If no improvement within 15 minutes of giving him that then he needs to see a vet ASAP.
