My stray kitten has eye problems. What should I do before the vet?

Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

We found this kitten on the street, it's eyes look either infected or non-existent, what should we do as we wait for vets to open?

Hello, sorry to hear about Magnus Bane but I am glad you guys found him. It looks like his eyes may not have developed fully (microphthalmia or anophthalmia). You could just keep him comfortable until your veterinarians open. You do not need to apply anything to his eyes for now.

Hope this helps and best of luck.
