My kitten has spasms and isn't pooping. Is he still in danger?

Yes you always have to be worried with potential foreign body ingestions. Hair ties are pretty small so the chance that they can cause blockages are slim, but they can still get stuck in the intestines and cause problems There are two possibilities at this point: 1) There is another hair tie still in there ( this will take some deductive reasoning in your part) that is stuck. 2) All hair ties have been expelled and your pet now just has an upset stomach due to dietary indiscretion. The odds are good because it is very small and had no sharp edges. With small foreign bodies it is recommended feed the pet a bulking agent like 1/2-1 loaf of bread or canned food that will help bind any additional objects within the GI tract and potentially help expel them out of the system. It’s definitely concerning that Sarisin still has not defecated and is not eating despite treatment. I am wondering if any diagnostics have been performed - constipation can be secondary to ingestion of a foreign object or kidney disease. Blood work and x-rays might help determine why the current treatments aren’t working. I would definitely check in with your vet before giving an enema - not all enemas are safe for cats, and even a water enema can be difficult to administer. Hope your kitty is feeling better soon!

This is really concerning. There are some rare genetic issues that can prevent cats from having bowel movements and can be fatal. I would strongly recommend your vet to take a look at him and possibly take some x-rays to see if there is stool in his colon and to make sure his colon is fully formed. Let's say that intussusception would be very unlikely given clinical improvement. Gastrointestinal infection was more likely i think. I am not quite sure what she may have thrown up in the picture. It looks like it could be rice or even intestinal parasites. Since she is still vomiting parts of the plastic bag, I would be concerned that there may have been something missed during surgery. If she shredded the bag, there could be tiny pieces in her stomach and/or small intestines that would never be felt when look at these organs during exploratory surgery. She may need additional treatment to help these pass, including IV fluids, anti-nausea medications, enemas, or medications to help stimulate her intestines to move.

I would keep an eye on her for now. If she starts acting lethargic, vomiting, having diarrhea, becomes anorexic, or doesn't pass any feces at all, then I would take her into the vet immediately. Hopefully, this hair tie will pass without problem, but you can give her a teaspoon of canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) to add more fiber to her diet to see if that helps her pass feces. You should be looking for vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and anorexia. Those are signs of a foreign body ingestion causing an obstruction. You can also take PJ into a vet now to get x-rays to look for them. Best of luck.
