Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2.2 lbs

when light pressure is applied to my cats stomach stool comes out , on june 27th she was spayed, dewormed, chipped and received an FVRCP , is it normal for her stool to be coming out this way ? also she is no more than 1-3 months old her old owner says she 8 weeks but she looks a bit older than that.

A general average for cats is about 1 pound a month until about 5 months of age if that helps you decided. It is not normal for you to be able to force a bowel movement from her when applying pressure. You may consider changing her food to something for a sensitive stomach to help. If this does not, then I would have her checked for parasites or an infection. It is unlikely related to the surgery since that was so long ago.
