No, coconut oil is not good for budgies in any form or way. feather diseases are common in budgies and can be caused by various reasons such as mites, viral infections, bacterial infections and internal organ disorders. i would recommend taking coco to an avian vet in order to get it treated ASAP.

Thanks for trying to be proactive about Fici's health! It's a shame you cannot get the Metabolic diet shipped to you as this diet is great for weight loss. An Alternative for Fici is Royal Canin Weight Control. I'd recommend feeding an all canned diet as this is more likely to help with weight loss than dry foods. If you cannot find any prescription diets then another type of canned food may still help with weight loss. That is unusual. The odor could be coming from his mouth, his skin or his rectum. Bad odors from the mouth can indicate dental disease, ketosis or kidney disease. Odors from the rectum (worse than normal), could indicate a gassy tummy, diarrhea or dietary intolerance. Smelly skin generally indicates an infection or over active oil glands. With the borderline liver disease, his diet options may be somewhat limited. It depends on how severe it is, if he’s had abnormal bile acids...etc. I recommend to have Boo see his veterinarian for an exam. The doctor will try to figure out where the smell is coming from and treatment will depend on the source. I recommend to ask about food recommendations as the doctor may want a special diet due to the liver. The skin quality may improve by giving Boo an omega 3 fatty acid supplement. Certain food are also better for skin such as Royal Canin or Nutro (once again though, ask your vet about diet recommendations). Lastly, you can use a dry shampoo for cats in between bathing. This will help to deodorize the skin and keep it clean. Brushing out the coat after applying the dry shampoo can help. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I recommend feeding an all meat canned or wet diet with added canned plain pumpkin. Cats do not do well with carbohydrates so feeding only meat will help Pumpkin lose weight. The canned pumpkin will help fill her up and add fiber and bulk up the stool to prevent constipation. Increasing her exercise also will help. You can feed her up on the dryer or a table so she has to jump up, and having her increase her activity chasing toys or a laser pointer will help also. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think bathing a cat every week is excessive. I do not think bathing him will help much with the hair loss. I would be sure he doesn't have fleas or lice. If he has fleas sue a good product like comfortis, Serest collar or bravecto. If there are no fleas I would have him seen by your Vet to have him tested for mites (skin scrape) and ringworm (fungal culture). If all medical conditions have been ruled out her may be pulling hi hair out for behavioral reasons. Be care with too much coconut oil, since cats groom and Micole is excessively grooming ingesting too much can be a problem. I hope this helps and I wish Micole a speedy recovery!

Hi, Lucky seems comfortable in this picture. I would recommend that once he is settled you try to look into his diet and make sure it is appropriate to his life stage.If he seems to have been overfed, perhaps reduce the amount of food and switch to a good quality diet. Try to get him to engage into play so that he can be a bit more active. Hope this helps !
