Why is my cat suddenly weak, disoriented, and having mustard poop?

This is a medical emergency, and your cat needs to see a vet now. I'm very concerned he could have gotten into sometime toxic or has a very serious illness. He needs to have veterinary care right away, or I'm afraid this could be fatal. Please take him into a vet immediately.

Sounds like your cat has something affecting her nervous system and it is pretty severe. He nerves innervate the eyes, influence her stance, her gait and also her mentation (ability to be aware of her surroundings). Several things can affect the nervous system including toxins, chemicals, liver shunts, primary brain stem lesions and tumors, and severe liver disease. I would highly recommend taking her in to your vet for baseline bloodwork and radiographs to start. Her lab work findings will help them pinpoint what is going on with her internally so that you can best help your furry friend. There really isn't much you can do for her at home until you know exactly what is going on with her and then get the vet to prescribe medications to help her condition. I hope she feels better soon.

If she isn't fully vaccinated, I would be concerned that she might have an illness called feline panleukopenia, which is a very serious infectious disease of kittens that causes lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, and often death if not treated promptly. It's also possible that she may have gotten into something toxic, or contracted some other type of infection. Since she sounds quite sick, I would recommend taking her to an emergency clinic this evening to be seen. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

The symptoms you are describing can be caused by things such as transient hypoglycemia, an infectious or inflammatory process, a neurologic condition, inner ear infections, or a cardiac condition resulting in weakness. If this kind of symptom persists for more than a day, or stops then repeats itself again, I would strongly recommend a physical exam with a veterinarian to rule out some of these conditions. A kitten who is weak and disorientated should be seen by a vet right away. Purring is not always a sign of being content, cats can also purr when they are sick and in pain. I would call around to find a vet who is open to see Gwennyth right away. The diarrhea could be making her dehydrated, which would cause her to be weak and disorientated. Make sure she is getting plenty of water, and you can give her some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts. Get her into a vet as soon as possible.

That is possible although I hope not. But typically with toxin exposure or ingestion you will also have vomiting and or diarrhea. Disorientation can also be a sign of a neurological disorder, brain lesion, hepatic encephalopathy vestibular disease. Based on your description she sounds rather weak and lethargic with a musculoskeletal injur or even a clot is possible. She needs to be examined to determine the exact underlying cause so that the appopriate treatment is recommended for her overall care and we being.
