My Persian kitten left a wet mess on the floor. Is it vomit or poop?

I recommend taking Stewie to the veterinarian to make sure he is ok. This may be a virus but it can also be intestinal parasites. I would bring a stool sample when taking him to the vet for check for parasites. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Vomiting is sometimes seen with conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis and chronic kidney disease, among many other conditions. Given Leia's young age and the fact that she is otherwise doing fine, dietary indiscretion appears more likely. It may be something as easy as just changing her diet to something that she can tolerate better. However, an examination by a veterinarian as well as minimal diagnostic data would be needed to rule out more concerning things. You can start by changing her diet to a sensitive stomach type diet. If no improvement, have her examined by a veterinarian to start therapy if needed based on findings. Good luck!

Hi there. I would have Kunsel seen by a vet. Vomiting and loose stool can be caused by a reaction to food, parasites or a virus, but when it's been going on for a few days she does need treatment. Your vet will be able to find out what's causing it and get her on meds to get her feeling better. This could definitely be because of the change of food but the black color concerns me that there may be digested blood present. Since she is so young and tiny, I would consider this urgent so I would try to get her into the vet soon. I would that she may become dehydrated or sicker if it isn't addressed. Your vet will likely want to run a fecal on her to check for any intestinal parasites. They may also want to know the food you are feeding her. I hope this helps and she starts to feel better soon.

Poor Ovey. It still could be vomit even if there isn't chunks or foam in it. I'd keep a close eye on her for now. If you see another accident like this, she is lethargic, has diarrhea, or h as a loss of appetite, take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

Vomiting can be observed with gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, food sensitivity, foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. I am concerned that she is becoming dehydrated. I do not think this is because of the fish. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. To be honest, you can probably just offer Esmeralda a small amount of her normal food. Start with about 1/4 of her normal meal size. If she keeps that down well, you can give her a little more in a few hours (or just give her her normal sized breakfast in the morning).
