Why does my cat keep throwing up after I give him a shower?

It is very concerning that Peanut is vomiting shortly after eating, and I do not think she can wait until Friday to see the vet. She sounds pretty sick to me, and I think she should see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

I recommend a vet visit for peanut. Regurgitatatuon or vomiting is not normal for cats and indicates a health problem. Many things can cause a cat to regurgitate his good. The vet will perform a physical exam on Peanut and from there may recommend bloodwork or imaging to assess what may be wrong. I hope Peanut is better soon. Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peaches evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Good luck and have a good day!

Poor Peanut! It definitely sounds like something is wrong. If he hasn't been seen by a veterinarian yet for this issue, that's what I would suggest as a starting point. There are many things that can cause chronic GI issues like this in cats, including inflammatory bowel disease, chronic pancreatitis, a food allergy or intolerance to something in his diet, or even a systemic illness like hyperthyroidism. Many of these issues are very treatable with medication and/or a special diet once a diagnosis is made, so there's a good chance your veterinarian will be able to help. I would recommend taking him in for a visit as soon as you're able to.

The medications Tapatipo was given to sedate him may be causing the vomiting, but since I don't know what medication he was given, I can't say for certain. Certain anesthetic drugs can cause vomiting. I am concerned that he is vomiting but yet still appears to be sedated, and my worry is that he could aspirate on his vomit. To be safe, I would take him into a vet immediately to be checked out. Best of luck.

Poor Splash! This vomiting could be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Given that he has been vomiting since Friday morning, it's time to see a vet as soon as possible. The vet can diagnose what is causing the vomiting so he can be treated . I would take Splash into a vet now.

Shower may be not related at all to the presenting signs you described. Upper respiratory tract inflammation/infection (sneezing) and gastrointestinal disease may be possible. I would suggest to keep him indoors and if the signs persist have him checked by your local veterinarian. Antibiotics may be needed.
