My cat has TF. Is it fatal? What treatment and special diet is best?

I'm sorry to hear about this. Toxoplasmosis is a parasite that is commonly acquired by cats, people and many other animals, but doesn't always cause disease. This means that any animal can be infected and shedding the infective stage, but doesn't necessarily have the disease. Unless Blink is having signs of illness, there is no need to treat the infection. However, it may be worthwhile to have a vet find out if she is in-fact the source of the infection. For your sake, it may be worthwhile to eliminate the infection in Blink, so she doesn't continually spread it. Keep in mind that cat's are not the only source of this disease. Depending on the type of worms, many very easily available treatment options efficiently treat these type of infections. Side effects can be present in very rare cases, but nothing that can lead to death as far as I am aware. It sounds like Sasha has tapeworms. She will need a medication call Drontal to kill them, which you get from the vet. Tapeworms are transmitted by fleas, so you will need to treat her for fleas as well. Fleas live in the environment, not on the cat, so she could have fleas even if you don't see any. They jump on to feed, and then jump off. I can give you a flea treatment for her. First, I would give her Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas within 30 minutes. Then follow up with a spot on treatment, such as Advantage or Revolution. This is a treatment that has to be used once a month. You will also have to disinfect the environment. Wash her bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. I hope this helps!

I'm so sorry but it is impossible for us to diagnose over the internet. My best guess though is that panleukopenia is definitely a possibility in this cat. Especially since it had contact with the infected cat. Hopefully, this cat will respond to treatment. I suggest you continue all the treatment your vet gave you and add in a probiotic if you can get one. I'm not sure what is available in Turkey but one made for cats would be best. This should help the diarrhea. It would be ideal for this cat to be in the hospital on intravenous fluids and get a plasma transfusion as well (if blood testing shows low white blood cell count that is characteristic of panluekopenia). I'm so sorry to hear about Theo's battle with FIP. That is, by far, one of the most heartbreaking diseases to diagnose in this field. Most cats are exposed to the coronavirus that causes it, but only an unlucky few convert the virus to FIP. As far as we know, this is based on a genetic predisposition and has nothing to do with exposure from the environment or other cats. If Meika is having loose stool, I would recommend having her seen by a vet. It is much more likely to be due to a common problem, such as a minor parasitic infection or stress colitis from grieving her playmate. They will likely recommend a bland diet, probiotics, or a short course of anti-diarrheal antibiotics if her only symptom is mild loose stool. Unfortunately, gastrointestinal lymphoma can be a longterm consequence of inflammatory bowel disease in cats. I am glad that will consult with an oncologist. There are actually a variety of treatment protocols, some of which can be oral tablets given at home. Cats tend to tolerate chemotherapy really well. They do not usually lose hair like human cancer patients will. There can be some nausea, but this is generally mild and there are good medications to control it. The main side effects tend to be white blood cell suppression. For this reason, her blood work will be monitored carefully. I hope this information helps!
