Why is my cat sneezing, lethargic, and has really bad smelling poop?

Poor Mocha! She is likely congested, and when a cat is congested, they won't eat because they can't smell their food. Gently heat up really smelly wet food such as sardine or fish based to try to tempt her to eat. Her yellow bowel movement could be related to the decrease in food. She could be suffering from a respiratory infection causing her symptoms, and I would have her seen by a vet on Monday. She may benefit from medications, which the vet can prescribe for her. I can also give you some home remedies for Mocha which will work in conjunction with medications from your vet. First, you can try starting her on an L-lysine supplement - this is an amino acid that has been shown to help the immune system fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Enisyl and Viralys are both good brands, and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription - just follow the dosing instructions on the label based on your cat's weight. I am sorry to hear about Luna. Since she is lethargic and has a decreased appetite, I would recommend she have an examination by her vet. Hi there! I'm fine, thank you, hope you are doing well :-) Not using the litter box can be a sign of a medical illness, such as a UTI or bladder stone. I would recommend taking Rose into your vet today for an exam. Your vet can do routine blood tests and a urinalysis to see if she does have a UTI or bladder stones. If she has a UTI, she will need antibiotics to treat it. Bladder stones may need to be removed surgically, or can be managed with diet. As for the diarrhea, that could be caused by a GI illness, stress, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. If Rose has a medical illness, that will be stressful for her, and it could be the cause of her diarrhea. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.

The sneezing could indicate a respiratory infection. There are lots of health reasons for her symptoms and Lilly really should see her veterinarian as soon as possible to have her evaluated and treated. Your veterinarian will do an exam and may recommend additional testing such as blood work or x-rays to pin down a cause so Lilly can get the treatment she needs and start to feel better.

Without a physical exam, it is difficult. Have Sir Watson examined by your veterinarian. Discuss respiratory infection (viral or bacterial) as well as possible polyps. This could explain the respiratory symptoms. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth and review the diet to determine the cause of his flatulence. Hello. You are describing Heidi with an upper respiratory infection. Most of these are viruses & generally run their course in 10-14 days. As long as Heidi is eating & drinking, she may not need to be on any medications. If you have never had her tested for feline leukemia & feline immunodeficiency virus ( & never vaccinated ), this might be something to request that your vet do this. This might change how she is or is not treated now & in the future. Just like with us, keeping her hydrated & eating are the best ways to deal with these infections.
