What does it mean when my cat looks at me and blinks slowly?

This is common in cats. They often will squint one eye. As long as she downstairs have any discharge (yellow or green), swelling or continued excessive blinking (blepharospams) then she is likely displaying normal cat behavior. Cats often squint their eyes, especially if they are getting sleepy and about to nap. Now if you notice any redness of the white part of her eye, eye discharge (usually yellow green) or puffiness of her eyes, then I would get concerned about conjunctivitis and then eye drops would have to be prescribed by your vet. This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. IT could be that Honey is having a normal reflex in that eye. Sometimes when people are sitting they can have small muscle twitches too. Also sometimes Honey might be using her whiskers to sense what is going on around her before she falls a sleep. I really would not be concerned about this behavior as long as she is eating and drinking normally. I hope that helps

Hello, sorry to hear about Halley. Your kitten may be trying to play with your eye lashes as you blink. The playful activity is normal and she wouldn't understand not to do that. To prevent any injury both to you and your kitten, avoid having her so near your face, or remove her from the scenario when she begins to stare at your eyes. Hope this helps and best of luck.

It sounds like he has Horner's Syndrome. I suggest you take him to a vet for an exam. If he doesn't blink the eye the cornea will get dried out and cause more issues.
