My cat rubs on Sharpies and tears them down. Is the ink toxic?

i wouldn't be worried if just his ears are warm. He is likely just flushed. If you are really concerned take his rectal temperature and if that is above 102.5 degrees F, then I would be concerned that he may have a systemic infection and require medical attention. Otherwise, he is likely fine.

Redness/inflammation could be the result of residual irritation from mites, from another infection, or a reaction to the medication. IF the redness continues or she is scratching at/rubbing her ears I would recommend bringing her in to the vet for an exam.
