See your veterinarian for an exam. Sky may need antibiotics to prevent or treat infection of the sores. A short course of steroids followed by antihistamines may provide relief from the itching. Your vet can also dispense Capstar to kill any adult fleas on Sky. Follow up with a topical preventative such as Revolution or Frontline. Either should be applied monthly for at least 3 consecutive months, preferably year round. Vacuum your home/apartment. Clean everywhere Sky has been. Dispose of the bag outdoors. Wash all bedding in the hottest temperature allowed by the fabric. To prevent reinfestation, use an environmental treatment such as Knockout ES.

Hello. I would wait the full month before using any more topicals on your cats, so that would mean 10/19. If you want to try a Seresto Collar ( which works very well ), you could put this on today if you like. You can also purchase Capstar ( nitenpyram ) over the counter & administer this every 2-3 days until you can use another topical. If you prefer the topicals, consider using Bravecto for cats. I have been very happy with this for my cats & you just apply this once every 3 months. As for bombs, just see what your garden center carries. Most, if not all, now contain an IGR or insect growth regulator, so look for this as it extends the use of the product when it comes to killing fleas. All the cats in the house will need to be treated with the deworming treatment and flea treatment. If two of the cats have fleas, then the third likely has them as well and needs to be treated. Even if the third doesn't at the moment, there will be fleas in the home, and it could easily get them, so it does need protection. In addition, it is possible that your third cat also has tapeworms. I would get an additional flea treatment and deworming treatment, and give both to all of them. As for treating the house, I would wash all the bedding in hot soapy water. Vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. In terms of your twins, keep them out of any rooms where you use the spray (same for the cats) until the spray is fully dried. If you do decide to flea bomb the house, remove the cats and your twins for the entire day. At the end of the day, it should be safe to bring them back home. Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). You can use Frontline spray on all cats, which should not be detrimental in case they groom each other. Unfortunately fleas hop on to drink and then hop off again and live in the environment. So you need to put flea powder in your vacuum cleaner and regularly vacuum your house that kill all fleas, eggs and larvae.
