My pet's eyes are runny with mucus. Is it a cold or allergies?

This sounds like she has a mild cold or upper respiratory infection. Generally these are viral colds and will run their course over a week or so. Just like with us no antibiotics are needed unless she develops a secondary bacterial infection. If the discharge becomes green and her condition worsens then please bring her right in for treatment. Poor Noodle. It looks like the discharge is a whitish grey color which means it is likely allergy related. I would try some benadryl twice a day to see if that helps. If it isn't improving, it gets worse, he starts quinting, or the discharge is yellow/green, I would have your vet take a look as he will likely need some antibiotic drops. It appears that she has an eye infection, and yes you should take her into the vet. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. There are over the counter eye drops that work well in eye allergy cases or a steroid drop from your vet. If they are still watering, I would ask the vet for a steroid eye drop and try this for a month to see if it helps. I hope this helps! Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. Sneezing can definitely be due to allergies and that is probably the most common reason. Some medications for allergies can be started for this to be used on an as needed basis. If her diarrhea or sneezing persist, I recommend that you have Irie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea and/or allergies depending on the results of needed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Poor pup! It looks like he has an eye infection and may have a respiratory infection as well causing the sneezing and mucus. He needs to see a vet first thing in the morning for this problem. Best of luck.
