My cat's tongue and paws are red and she vomited. What's wrong?

Oh that does not sound good. Throwing up so much warrants an urgent visit to the veterinarian and some blood tests checking kidney and thyroid parameters. Pale gums could point to a blood disease. The signs are very unspecific, therefore blood tests are necessary to help with a diagnosis. Please schedule an appointment with your veterinarian tomorrow.

I'm sorry Bibich isn't feeling well. If he seems like he wants to eat and can't, then I get suspicious that maybe something is painful in his mouth. Also, then lighter color of his nose and paws concern me that maybe his is anemic. Anemia can be caused by infections, blood loss, and even the immune system attacking the red blood cells. I know you are worried about taking him to the veterinarian, but there is a chance they could find out what is wrong and help him. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Billie! How old is Billie? I wonder if Billie is young if he has a food allergy. The most common cause of vomiting in cats is a food intolerance. I would avoid a chicken based diet and get him on venison, all fish or beef. Billie could also be pulling his hair out do to skin allergies from food. Other causes of pulling out hair are fleas or stress. If Billie is old and is drinking more then I recommend full blood work. Causes of increased thirst are: kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), liver disease and cancer. Causes of bad breath are dental disease, kidney disease and sometime diabetes. I think the best thing for Billie is to see a Veterinarian. I hope this helps and I wish Billie the best!

He needs to be seen by a veterinarian. He looks like he really doesn't feel well from the photo. The red spots on the tongue could be ulcerations (due to a toxin ingestion or kidney disease for example) or they could be cancer (very common in cats). This is not something you can fix at home. Please get him to a vet as soon as you can. Best wishes.

Cats usually don't vomit when they are too hot, but there are many other things that can cause vomiting and it's possible that he won't vomit again. If you feel his gums are very pale or he continues to act lethargic today I'd recommend having a vet examine him in person. Otherwise I think you could monitor him today but if he vomits again or won't eat you should take him to your vet. They might want to check blood work or take an x-ray to rule out an obstruction.

It sounds like your cat is having some issues which could be related to the Vietnamese food you fed it last night or cats can get something call triaditis which is inflammation of the pancreas, liver, and small intestine and gallbladder. Because of the frequency of vomiting and the likelihood that its blood that you're seeing in the vomit I recommend your cat see a veterinarian as soon as possible.
