Why is my cat peeing small amounts of bloody urine in random places?

Blood in the urine can be due to a few different problems. If it is red-colored urine and Lily has been urinating more frequently lately, then it is most likely a bladder infection/inflammation, but could also be a kidney infection. If it appears like fresh blood at the end of the urine stream, then this could indicate a problem with the vagina, cervix, or could be coming from the rectum. Either way, it's best that you take Lily to a veterinarian for treatment soon. If she is going to the litter box and nothing is coming out within the last 24 hours, then this is an emergency and I recommend you take her to the vet immediately. They will be able to locate where the problem is and provide the most appropriate treatment. Either way, Lily will need a professional to diagnose this problem and to provide the most effective treatment. Without good treatment, she can have life-threatening complications. In most cases this is caused by a bladder inflammation, usually stress related. in male cats it is considered an emergency as they can easily develop a urinary blockage following this condition, i recommend taking him to the vet today.

It is usually related to bacterial infection of the bladder but it may be due to bladder crystals or stress. Please, take her to your local vets for an appointment, as most likely she will need a course of antibiotics to get better.

Poor Sweetpea! This can be a common problem in cats. It can be cause by stress, a bladder infection, urinary crystals, kidney infections and/or bladder stones. I would her looked at by your vet to ensure she doesn't have an infection and that her kidney values look okay. Your vet will be able to run an urinalysis and blood work to assess these things. Since this is such a common problem, I would have bladder stones rule out as well if this hasn't already been done. Finally, since this is a reoccurring problem, I would also consider switching Sweetpea to a prescription urinary diet like Science Diet C/D stress to help decrease the number of flareups she has in a years time. You can also add cosequin for cats, a joint supplement, to her diet. One of the side effects of cosequin is to increase the mucus in the lining of the bladder which will ultimately help to protect the bladder wall. I hope this helps!

It could be a urinary infection or a bladder inflammation it could also be coming from the anal area which would make me suspect of a gastrointestinal issue. either way i would strongly advise to take her to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.

Have her seen by your veterinarian. You can request conservative treatment and your veterinarian may prescribe a broad spectrum antibiotic for a presumed urinary tract infection without performing recommended diagnostics (urine culture, urinalysis, abdominal xrays, blood work). It may help, however the risk is that the bloody urine may not be caused by "simple" infection. Other possibilities are inflammation, tumor or stones. If Luna should become completely obstructed, this will turn into an emergency and potentially life threatening condition.

PP needs to see a Vet today. Causes of bloody urine are: stress bladder inflammation (cystitis), urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. Prevent her from urination by keeping her in her carrier or in a room with out a litter box for a few hours before the appointment so the Vet can collect a urine sample to test. If she has a urinary tract infection she will be put on antibiotics. I wish you the best!
