My cat has no parasites, but I'm getting tiny bites. What is it?

Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 lbs

My vet said she scraped my cat and found nothing, yet I keep getting tiny bites on my face and neck.

Cats do not get very many parasites that can affect people, but there is one type of mite that is very difficult to find on skin scraping and may affect people. I am attaching a link to a handout about that below.

If you have not tried it yet, I would discuss trying Revolution or Advantage Multi on Ariel with your vet since they will treat for this type of mite.
Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.
