My cat has lymphoma, isn't eating, and breathing heavily. What now?

If this is all confirmed to be due to her cancer and you are not proceeding with treatment of the cancer, euthanasia may need to be considered.

It's possible that Midnight's breathing changes, coughing, weight loss, weakness, appetite and drinking changes, and lethargy could be due to congestive heart failure, asthma, cancer, or many other issues. She's likely experiencing restlessness and a loss of appetite because she can't breathe well enough to comfortably lay down or swallow. I strongly recommend taking Midnight to an emergency vet right away. This is not a situation that can be managed at home. I hope that everything goes well.

If the cat is struggling to breathe and not eating then sometging serious is likely going on. Unfortunately there is no simple solution for this, you will need to have tbe cat examined to determine the exact issue then allow for appropriate treatment. If you dont find a vet it may be a poor outcome.

It sounds like the poor chap is going to pass away so according to the duty of care stated in the animal welfare act you will have to prevent further suffering and take him to your closest veterinary surgery that it’s open. There are many lymph nodes in the chest as well and any enlarged ones can cause these signs; unfortunately lungs may be infiltrated by the tumoral cells as well. An immediate check up is needed as x rays can confirm this clinical suspicion and decide whether further treatment can be an option.
