Why is my cat licking his butt, making gurgling noises, and in pain?

He seems to have a big piece of poop stuck. That hurts a lot. Best take him to a vet tonight to remove it and check if there is an injury. You can gently try to put pressure to remove it yourself. put some gelatine or ointment around the inside of the anus to help it move. If you cannot move it fairly easily you will definitely need to take him to a petER tonight.

The pictures are not clear but this must be checked by a vet urgently. I would be concerned that this is a prolapse (when internal organs poke out) and surgical repair may be required, urgent assessment is vital as damage and trauma can occur

He may be constipated and straining to defecate. He could also have intestinal parasites causing him to strain. If the condition is allowed to progress, he develop a prolapsed rectum. This kind of lump/growth needs to be ideally assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration). Differentials include skin cysts, infections, benign or more sinister type of tumors (very unlikely given the age). Treatment would depend on the underlying cause. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking. There are a number of things that could be causing the vomiting such as kidney failure, GI illness, a foreign body, or cancer. Pain when defecating can be caused by arthritis in his back and hips. a foreign body, impacted anal sacs, or cancer. I think he should see a vet as soon as possible for these symptoms given his age. Poor Willow! There is a chance that she could have full, impacted or infected anal glands, or intestinal worms if she is licking her hind end. If she is lethargic and not eating or drinking normally, she see a vet immediately. Otherwise, it may be okay to wait until tomorrow. I hope that she feels better soon!

This is a spontaneous thing that can happen in pets with anal gland problems, where the anal glands fill up and are not able to express normally. We think this is caused by an underlying allergy, which can be discussed with your vet. Sometimes giving your pet a high fiber diet can help prevent reoccurence. Peanut Butter needs to see your vet for a short course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine to help this wound heal properly. He may also need the anal gland to be flushed thoroughly while under a mild sedative. I would recommend scheduling an appt for him soon to get this taken care of. In the meantime, you can purchase an e-collar from your local pet store and place it on him to deter him from licking the area and making the inflammation/irritation worse. Poor guy.
