Poor Axel! If he has hives all over his face, I would be concerned that he could be suffering an allergic reaction from this food. The best thing to do is take him into a vet now for treatment. The problem with allergic reactions is that they can easily progress into difficulty breathing, and it's best to avoid that. The vet can give Axel an antihistamine or a steroid to stop the reaction. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
