I think you can safely wait until morning unless the clinical signs seem to persist or get worse. Small cats can definitely dehydrate or become hypoglycemic rather quickly, so persistent vomiting and diarrhea can become a problem. I would also consider separate the sick kitten from the healthy two until you have become certain that there is no infectious or contagious disease. Hope this helps!

It is very important to make sure that you have a litter box or two available with the type of litter that he likes and is used to. Sometimes this can be observed in times of stress or when adjusting to a new environment. Young kittens will normally toilet frequently, often up to 6 times a day but I would be very concerned by repeated trips to the tray without producing anything as this may indicate an obstruction or severe spasm and inflammation which is quite common in cats and can be triggered by stressful events such as moving house. I recommend an urgent vet check to determine if he is constipated or bladder pain and to prescribe the most appropriate treatment and ongoing management to prevent recurrence. In the meantime I would try to encourage fluids with flavoured water (freshly boiled chicken broth or a little cod liver oil on the water bowl) and provide wet food to maximise fluid intake which can help soften stool and flush the bladder

Eliminations and the frequency thereof, are dependent on many things depending on food intake, type of food, water intake etc. As long as she is not straining and trying to poop, it could be up to another 24-36 hours. She is getting accustomed to her new and that is probably slowing up the fecal elimination process. Again, no straining to have a bowel movement usually means that everything is ok, especially if the kitten is eating and drinking normally. Just keep monitoring for a bowel movement and monitor behavior, appetite, etc. If things change and you are unsure have your veterinarian evaluate the kitten. I hope everything works out ok.

Apply a warm cotton ball to her genital area. This replicates the mother licking her and will help her to urinate and defecate. I'm so sorry to hear that Percy developed diarrhea. It is very common for cats to not defecate for a period of 24-72 hours after having diarrhea. It takes some time for stool to build up again after an episode of diarrhea. So, as long as Percy is eating well, acting normally and not straining to defecate, I would not worry about the lack of stool for 24 hours. I would be sure to have your veterinarian check a stool sample if that has not already been done. Hello. I do not think you have too much to worry about just yet. There is always an adjustment period when a young pet comes into a new home, especially if the kitten was just taken from its mother & siblings. Give Milo a few days to adjust by allowing him to explore & become comfortable. Have him examined as soon as possible by your veterinarian to make sure he is healthy, has no intestinal parasites or external parasites like fleas or ear mites. He is old enough to start his kitten vaccinations, but I do recommend having him check for the feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus at his first visit, too.
