Why does my cat have a raised greenish spot on its skin that looks like mold?

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. From the images you have posted it appears to be a slightly raised patch of skin. This could be a bit of a skin tag or a wart, or could be a bit of a reaction to a bug bite. It could also be a bit of a scab. From the image it is hard to tell exactly. If the area is not painful, and Ghost is eating, drinking and playing normally, then just monitor the spot for now. If it goes away it is likely a bit or a scratch. If it gets worse (red, swollen, bigger, or has any discharge) then I would have it seen by a vet. I would also check your kitten for fleas in case this is a scab from scratching due to itchiness from fleas. Best of luck with Ghost!

Hello! it could be a skin infection or an allergic reaction, it could also be ringworm (fungal infection) , if it doesn't seem to be getting better within a week, i would recommend having it checked aby your vet

It is difficult to say for sure from the picture as there is some discoloration artifacts on the photo. If the spot is not raised and is flat, it is likely a spot of increased color (hyperpigmentation). It could be the start of a melanoma so it would be wise to keep a close eye on this. Hello. That looks like a moist and sticky bacterial infection, but a proper diagnosis would come from a hands on examination with your veterinarian. It would be best to have him looked at ASAP, but in the meantime....the main goal is to clean the area and try to keep it dry. You can use some dish soap and water to gently clean the area, then wipe excess soap away and dry it . Do not rub or scrub the tissue very hard as it is probably uncomfortable. Hello there, Thanks for the good photo. If it is a small minor wound like a pimple or scratch, it should be mostly healed within a week of forming. If its been present for longer than that or is worsening, I would be more concerned that it is the start of an infection or growth that would benefit from being seen by her veterinarian. A scab means it's healing, so I would just keep an eye on it for now. If you see signs of infection, it gets bigger, it starts to bother her, or it doesn't appear to be healing, then have Fatina seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

Based on the images provided, it appears that there is a cyst / wart like skin mass on the head. If this keeps bleeding and opening up, I would recommend having it removed by a veterinarian in the near future.
