Why does my cat's face turn pink around eyes and mouth after naps?

It is pretty normal for a pink nose to change color. As the nose is a part of the body that is hairless and exposed, outside temperature and changes in blood circulation will show up as a color change. Dark pink means there is a lot of blood circulating through the nose, lighter colors mean there is less blood circulating. I would only be concerned if the nose is porcelain white with the gums also being white . This could point to anemia caused by parasites, a bleed or other causes of anemia and would need to be checked out by a veterinarian.

The color can change with ambient temperature, with activity or when stressed (gets more pink). It can indicate anemia but cats that are anemic also have pale gums and act sick. If her nose still gets its normal pink color she is likely fine. My own cats nose does this. If you are unsure about her gum color, have your Vet check her to be sure. I hope this helps!

If it is not associated with itchiness or discomfort, there is no need to be concerned about this. I’m glad to hear the Binx is doing well aside from this redness. I agree - I don’t see any evidence of swelling or discrete lesions. That said, this type of redness is more likely either irritation from food and water bowls, or some underlying allergies, particularly given his young age. Plastic and ceramic bowls are fairly porous and can harbor bacteria. If you aren’t already doing so, try using stainless steel or glass bowls, taking care to wash them daily. If the redness persists, your next option is to take Binx to his vet for an exam. Your vet may need to prescribe some medication to help get this redness under control. Given the location, I wouldn’t recommend trying any topical medication, as I wouldn’t want Binx to ingest any of it. I hope that everything goes well!

Maybe not, however a change in the "pallor", or color of the surfaces of the inside the mouth, the nose (in a light-colored cat) or sclera (white part) of the eyes can indicate certain disease processes. I'd worry potentially about anemia, or lack of red blood cells, making your cat's nose look pale-r than normal. Anemia can have a number of causes including certain infectious diseases transmitted by fleas as well as autoimmune disease. The black dots are concerning as well, although without seeing a picture it's hard to say what those are. Bottom line - I think this is worth getting checked out by your vet, to be sure your kitty is normal.

This requires actually a biopsy of the tissue. I do not see an indication for a biopsy based on these pictures. This is likely just a normal change in pigmentation and monitoring would be fine. If at any point, he develops inflammation or wounds in that region have him evaluated by a veterinarian then. Best of luck!
