My cat ate Elmiron. Is it toxic for a cat with existing conditions?

Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 13.8 lbs

My cat got into my Elmiron. It's 100mg. He was born with 3 heart defects, high blood pressure, urine crystals, anxiety and GI issues. He's on prozac and amlodipine.

Hi, we have been using the same active ingredient that is present in Elmiron in cats with cystitis safely. See https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952170
However, I am not sure how it interacts with your cat’s other medications. For more tailored advice and for previous case reports of ingestion I would recommend to call 8557647661, Pet Poison Helpline. Hope all goes well.
