Why is my 5-week kitten frail, has matted eyes, and twitching legs?

Tater is adorable! The signs you are describing can be due to a reaction to a flea/tick preventative or a number of toxins in the environment. It is definitely concerning that Tater is also having diarrhea and loss of appetite/energy as this can be caused by viral and parasitic infections. I recommend having Tater seen by a vet as soon as possible to determine what is going on and begin the appropriate treatment. Your vet will likely recommend a fecal exam and blood work. I would be most concerned either a neurologic issue, such as a slipped disc pushing on her spine, or a blood clot lodged in the blood supply for her rear end (called Feline Saddle Thrombosis). I would recommend taking her to a vet ASAP to further evaluation.

This is not normal behavior. Even kittens will not urinate or defecate on themselves. It sounds like she is sick and I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian. The doctor will check her for an infection and also check to make sure her nervous system appears to be formed normally. Make sure to bring in a stool sample for a parasite testing as well. If she didn't like the oral medicine, it could have caused her to drool heavily and twitch her head some, but of course without seeing her myself, it is difficult to say for sure. The doctor may recommend eye tests to determine the best course of treatment. A common test is to place a drop of eye on the eye to look for a scratch. The twitching is likey unrelated, but should be evaluated as well. In the meantime, keep the eye clear of discharge and prevent him from pawing at it if possible. I hope this information helps!

He needs to be seen by a veterinarian for a wellness exam. He may not be able to poop and may be constipated, or he had so many worms that all the dead worms are making him ill. Keep him warm, entice him to drink water, and should he deteriorate he needs to be seen at a petER tonight.

I am so sorry about your kittens. Weakness and impaired movement are not classic signs for one specific disease process in kittens. Typically, we are concerned with infection, nutritional deficiencies and congenital abnormalities in neonates. The queen and kittens need to be evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
