What's this pimple-like bump on my sun conure's beak? Is he okay?

However, this sounds like it may be a distended crop, the portion of the esophagus that pouches out and stores food. Sometimes, in the case of certain infections, this area can not empty properly. This causes food to get stuck and cause the crop to get larger and even protrude through the skin. This requires veterinary attention as it can prevent normal digestion from occurring. This can also be a mass or abscess, which may require surgery to remove or drain as well as antibiotics, which are prescribed by a veterinarian. I recommend that you have Petey assessed by a vet who either specializes in or sees avian patients as soon as possible. I hope this helps!

The pictures are very hard to see what you are describing. If it's fluffy and feathery it could just be feathers coming in or old down feathers that haven't been replaced by new ones yet. if it looks moldy/fungal, it could indicate a possible infection or something caught in the nose. It could also be dried-on food if they are being hand fed a baby bird formula. These birds are still very young, and it would be best to purchase them once they are older and weaned/fully feathered, especially if they are still being raised by their parents.

Any other animals that could have possible harmed her, other birds or cats? Monitor appetite and activity. If lesion grows or Dawn becomes weak or stops eating, a veterinary visit is recommended. Some crusting can happen when a bird is ready to mate, but that looks a bit more than that -- It is possible your bird has a respiratory issue going on, a fungal infection taking hold in the nostrils, or another type of infection/illness. It would be best to bring him to a vet to have the area flushed out and treatment started for any underlying infection. Separating him to a hospital cage that is kept warm and with easy access to food and water may also help to prevent the spread of any illness and to keep Ocean comfortable if your other parakeet is picking on him until you can be seen by your vet. You can also use a warm washcloth to try and remove any debris to make him more comfortable.

This looks like a fibroid tumor but I cannot be certain of this just by looking at a photo. Fibroids are benign but it could also be malignant tumor of some sort or a cyst. Some infections such as fungal infections can cause flaky growths around the beak or nose. Growths on the skin from infection, tumors, parasites, etc may also cause a dirty growth appearance anywhere on the body. Regurgitation of food may also cause stuck debris, as well as problems with the crop causing food or bacterial to come back up into the mouth. If it's impeding Chico, can't be cleaned away (or returns even with cleaning) or you are seeing other signs of illness such as changes in energy levels, behavioral habits, eating and drinking habits, etc, then having a vet look at it in person is best. They may need to flush the area and clean it and start Chico on a round of medication to treat as needed.
