Is my 9-week-old pig's penis discharge normal or an infection?

There is a normal yellow/green mucoid discharge (called smegma) that male dogs have to coat the penis inside the prepuce. There could also be an infection, like a bladder infection, but typically they have signs of increased thirst, frequent urination, and producing small amounts of urine at a time. To be sure, I recommend taking him to a vet for an exam and they can check the urine. If he isn't showing the other signs, I am suspicious this is the normal discharge male dogs have. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Some discharge from the penis can be normal. I would use a mild soap and water to clean the area 2-3 times per day. When you have him in for his next vaccinations with your Vet have them look to make sure it isn't a bigger deal requiring antibiotics and prepuce flushing. Good luck!

Poor Baby! I would strongly recommend to have a vet take a look at her. At this age, she is very fragile and could have develop a serious bacterial or viral infection that she needs treatment for. If left untreated for too long, it may be much harder to treat or possibly even fatal with her young age.

Sometimes the discharge comes out of the prepuce. The production of this substance is decreased when pets are neutered. You can continue to wipe it off it noted but no treatment is needed. This discharge you are seeing may be smegma. This is a normal discharge, and it actually comes from the dog's penile sheath. Without seeing Chubby in person, I can't say this for certain, so you can have him checked by a vet just to be safe :-)

The growth you pictured is rather large, and considering its location, I do recommend having Glottis examined by a veterinarian to determine if it could potentially obstruct his urination. Cauliflower-like lesions are usually papillomas - a type of growth that can pop up on the mucous membranes and genitals and is generally caused by a virus. While the virus itself is usually not life-threatening, the growths it causes can be a nuisance. This would make sense since his cagemate also now has similar symptoms and these viruses can be contagious. There is no treatment for papilloma virus, but unruly growths may be removed by a veterinarian (though they do have the potential to grow back). There is also the potential that the growth is not a papilloma but a malignant tumor, but less likely as his cagemate has the same thing. As long as Glottis is still urinating currently, this is probably not an emergency, but I strongly suggest having him evaluated as soon as possible to prevent future issues. That is likely "smegma", a normal discharge in intact males. You can have your veterinarian exam him for confirmation. Monitor for excessive discharge or licking or for bloody discharge or difficulty urinating.
