  • Gerbils and dwarf hamsters should be given a bath twice weekly, chinchillas daily in Planet Petco Dust to prevent unhealthy urine stains and irritation that may cause fur chewing. For best results, keep at least two inches of dust in the bath pan. Do not add any other materials. The bath pan should be removed from the habitat after a few minutes to avoid contamination from the animal eliminating in it. It can be disposed of in municipal trash collection or, better yet, recycled as a soil additive in home gardening.
