Feed 1 to 3 cobs (popped or unpopped) per week, depending on the size of your pet. To pop corn in microwave: heat on a microwavable plate and on high for 15 seconds at a time until sufficiently popped (do not exceed 2 minutes). Not all kernels may pop. Allow cob to cool before feeding to your pet (for quicker cooling, place in freezer).

Corn fell off the cob in packaging

I ordered this for our hamster. When it arrived 75% of the corn was off the cobs. Sad it can barely be used.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not what it says.

It says cook 15 seconds and let set for 30 min. No corn pops unless you cook it for 2+ minutes. Then popped corn shoots everywhere. Guinea pigs hated it. But the rabbit ate it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hamster-Approved, Fun Treat

This was a fun treat to give my hamster, and he attacked it when I gave it to him for the first time last night. I let him rip off a few popcorn kernels and then put it away so he didn’t fill up too much on this treat. I wanted him to still eat his seed mix, which he did. I saw on another review that this treat makes a mess in the microwave so I put it in a baking dish. I think next time I will try putting a cover on the dish since a lot of the kernels still flew out as they popped.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I normally buy these for my hamster at other pet stores and have never had a problem but when I opened this pack it was moldy in areas on the corn in each cob I didn’t chance it and threw it all away since I am 30 minutes away from a petco.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My guniea pigs did not care for the popcorn on cob but they ate the ones that popped off. Its makes quite the mess when popping in the microwave lol.

My dwarf hamster loves when I cook one of the small ears of corn in the microwave until most is popped! I let it cool completely then put some of the popcorn in it's cage, Minnie loves it!

Is every treat for hamsters made in the USA

  1. No and the safest and healthiest treats are fruits and veggies. Small amounts of broccoli, Romain lettuce and bell peper are great treats and easy to come by. You can find out what veggies and fruits are safe for your hamster but remember they are treats so stick to small quantities.

What is this difference between the corn cob treats for birds and the ones for small animals? They both seem to be the same. Would giving the small animal kind to a bird be harmful?

  1. No

Can rabbits eat these?

  1. No, corn is highly toxic to rabbits and can block their digestive tract, resulting in health issues and even sometimes death.

What are your results with them?

  1. Even if they don't eat the kernels, it's nice that they have something to do. Mine just like the tear the kernels off, and only eat a certain color of kernel, but I don't mind buying them.

Can someone post a picture of it when it is popped? How do you pop it?

  1. My girls love this! I pop it with a lid on it to avoid the mess everyone complains about. I make sure there are still some kernels left on the cobs. I cut them in half because I have 3 piggies and wanted them to last longer. The girls just scarf them up! I think my 2 newer girls are garbage guts - haven't found anything they won't eat! LOL! 🐹😞
