We rotate between lamb for dinner and chicken or duck for breakfast/lunch. We mix this with meal mixers or wet dog food and our Peekapomchi likes it. Just be sure to get the one marked "Small Breed" if you have a small dog. It is only available in 4lb and 12lb. Don't assume all of Natural Balance is small breed food unless it is marked as such.

Had a strange chemical smell, I thought maybe it was just because of the bag. Placed into our feeder bin, my dog had about three servings before I noted the smell was still strong and my dog wasn't eating it (which is unusual for her). Took it back to Petco to switch to another brand, they agreed the smell was way and something was wrong. My dog has become sick and is currently staying at the emergency vet. I'm in shock and hope this doesn't happen to another pet, hoping our bag was the only one contaminated with whatever chemical that was.

I buy this food for my parents’ dog. I also bought whole hearted soft + slims stick treats for the 1st time. I cut up the pieces + put them in with the dry dog food.

This food was difficult to find for a while in small breed size. Glad its back and i found it at Petco.

My dogs have been eating this brand and flavor for the last several years. They love the flavor and the small bites.

I have been ordering this food for a long time but I was wondering if the ingredients have changed? My dog is suddenly acting weird I had to take him to the ER a week ago bc while he ante his breakfast his feet gave in annd he intimated on the kitchen floor. I quickly took him downstairs and he made a big poo. He shook uncontrollably anfter annd refused water annd urinated on himself angainso I rushed him to the ER and he got an IV, prednisone anti drowsy meds. I had to stop the prednisone after 5 days bc of the urination and it made him like another dog. I am noticing that my dog is drowsy every time after I feed him. At first I attributed it to a medical condition. Then the medications. Now I’m wondering if it is the food? We have been using this brand for years and recently the packaging changed so I am wondering if the ingredients changed too? His stool is good and solid, but I don’t know what’s going on with him. I will cook for him tongiht and see if the symptoms are also present after eating chicken and veggies. I am really concerned because I can’t explain what’s going on, I just see he’s drowsy everytime after he eats now. All his values are normal no preexisting conditions and generally he’s a very healthy dog. Nothing has changed but the packaging of the food as far as I know that’s why I’m asking if the ingredients have changed? The symptoms kind of snuck up on me as his stool and appetite are very good as normal. And the correlation to eating and drowsiness are weird to say the least. I’d greatly appreciate feedback from Petco and natural balance
