The Bicolor Blenny is a unique fish with striking colors and personality to match. This fish is enjoyable to watch "hop" across the substrate and live rock. This hardy fish is relatively peaceful and active. Like other blennies, the Bicolor Blenny will be peaceful towards other fish, unless its tank mate looks similar to a blenny. It is recommended that only one blenny be kept in an aquarium unless it is a mated pair. Add this fish to a reef tank with caution because they have been known to nip on small-polyped stony coral and clam mantles. They will help maintain algae growth by feeding on it. However, for continued health, supply a varied diet of meaty and vegetable foods. Their small adult size of about 4" makes them ideal for smaller aquariums. The Bicolor got its name because they are two different colors: dark blue on the front half and orange posterior. The Bicolor Blenny are found in the Indo-Pacific inhabiting rocks and tubes in lagoons and seaward reefs up to 25 meters deep.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
