Which items are eligible for Petco in-store pickup?
All of our products that are eligible for store pickup will show this option on the product's detail page. Before you add the product to your cart, you can select a shipping method or choose in-store pickup. Once the item is in your cart, you will also have the option to change your shipping or pickup selection if you change your mind.

Can I order some items for in-store pickup and others to be shipped to my house?
Yes, you can! Each product you add to your shopping cart will allow you to choose a shipping method or in-store pickup.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your card will be charged once when your order is ready for pickup.

When can I pick up my order?
As soon as your order is ready for pickup, we will send you a "Ready for Pick Up" email to let you know. If you place an order while the store is open, it will typically be ready for you to pick up within a few hours. If you place an order after your selected store has closed, your order will typically be ready for pick up shortly after the store opens the next morning. Store hours may vary by location, so be sure to check the hours before placing your order. Remember, don't head to the store until you have received a "Ready for Pick Up" email!

Our BOPUS service allows you to order eligible items from Petco.com and pick them up at your local Petco store. Once you've placed your order, you will receive two emails. The first will confirm that you have placed your order and that it is being processed. The second is your "Ready for Pickup" email that will confirm your order is ready to be picked up at the store you selected.

All of our products that are eligible for BOPUS will show the option for "Free Pickup Today" on the product's detail page. Before you add the product to your cart, you can select a shipping method or choose the "Free Pickup Today" option. Once the item is in your cart, you will also have the option to change your shipping or pickup selection if you change your mind.

Most orders are ready for pickup within two hours. If you don't receive a "Ready for Pickup" email, please check your Spam folder. If you still do not see the email notification, please call our customer service center at (877) 738-6742. Be sure to have your order number ready!

Please bring your order number (found in your "Order Confirmation" and "Ready for Pickup" emails) and a valid photo I.D. You do NOT need to bring the credit card used for the transaction.

You can designate an alternate person to pick up your order when you are placing the order. You will need to provide that person's name and email address. We will then send the "Ready for Pickup" notification to the designated person, who will need to show a valid I.D. and order number at the store.

You can let any of our store partners know that you are there to pick up a Buy Online, Pick Up in Store order and they will be able to get it for you.

You will receive a printed receipt when you pick up your order in-store. You can also find your receipt in your Petco.com account, under Order History.

We will hold your items for 72 hours, starting at the time that we notify you that your order is ready for pickup. If you do not pick up your order in that time frame, we will initiate your refund 84 hours (3 1/2 days) from the time your order was ready for pickup.

You can always call the Petco at (877) 738-6742 if you want to cancel your order. If you want to change the order, you can call ahead or do it when you arrive. Please note that, depending on the change requested, we may need to cancel the original order and place a new one.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If one of the products does not fit your needs, you can take it to any store along with your receipt or confirmation email, and return or exchange it in accordance with our Petco policy.

If for any reason, one or more of the items you bought is out of stock, we will notify you. If you had other items in your order that we do have in the store, we will still prepare your order with the items that we have available. We will only charge you for the items in your order that are available for pickup.
