Your cockatiel's health is dependent on receiving high-quality cockatiel food which is specially formulated with a balanced blend of nutrients. While these diets may consist of seed, pellet or a mix of the two, there are plenty of different blends for even the pickiest of birds. A balanced diet is essential for good health in any pet bird and specially formulated diets should be supplemented with fruits and vegetables, a variety of treats and millet. Treats should not exceed 10% of your cockatiel’s daily diet which should consist mainly of specialized pellets.
