Yes! Same Day Delivery is available at most Petco stores and thousands of items are eligible for same day delivery. Orders must be placed by 2pm local time for delivery that day.

Same Day Delivery is one of Petco’s delivery fulfillment options. Orders shipped via Same Day Delivery will be delivered to you by the end of the day.

If Same Day Delivery is available, you will see “Free Same Day Delivery” messaging on the product page. To get Same Day Delivery, select “Deliver it to me” then add the item to your cart.

When shopping on or the Petco app, add items to your cart that are eligible for Same Day Delivery and checkout as usual. Once you have placed your order, a store associate at your neighborhood Petco will pick and pack your items. The store will contact our delivery partner and a driver will pick up your order. Once the driver is on their way, you will receive an email notification with a tracking link for your order. The driver will contact you when they have arrived and will drop off the order at your door or designated location. Petco is currently using contactless delivery, so you do not need to physically accept the order.

Yes! Petco gives customers flexibility on how to receive your items. Just select whether you want your items delivered or if you want to pick them up before adding to cart.

Same Day Delivery orders are fulfilled by our trusted third-party delivery partner, DoorDash.

Petco offers Same Day Delivery in all major metro areas and throughout the U.S., including parts of Hawaii and Alaska.

Same Day Delivery orders that are placed by 2pm local time will be delivered that evening. Once you place your order, be sure to check your email for the tracking link which allows you to see where your order is, and the estimated delivery time. Orders are usually delivered between 4-7pm.

To find items that are eligible for Same Day Delivery, you can filter the category pages by “Same Day Delivery” to see products that are available for delivery today. You can also see if a product is eligible for Same Day Delivery on the product page within the “Deliver it to me” section. If the product is eligible, it will say “Free Same Day Delivery”.

Certain products are not eligible for Same Day Delivery. Exclusions include but are not limited to live animals, live plants, Rx products, Rx food, tanks, fresh/frozen food, large cat furniture, large crates/kennels/gates, or bulky items.

Your card will be charged once we confirm your items are in stock and ready for delivery.

If you have not received your order by 9pm local time, please check your email to see if there was a delay or problem fulfilling your order. Please note that orders placed after 2pm local time may not be delivered until the following day. Nope! All Same Day Deliveries are contactless – our delivery driver will notify you when they have arrived but will leave the items at your door or designated drop-off location.

Your electronic receipt can be found in the “My Account” section of or your order confirmation email can be used as a receipt.

To make any adjustments to your order, please contact customer service at 1-877-738-6742. Please note that once your order has been picked and is ready for delivery we are unable to cancel or adjust your order. If you need to return or exchange any of your items, please bring your item(s) and order confirmation email to one of our stores for a return/exchange in accordance with Petco’s policy.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If one of the products does not fit your needs, you can take it to any store along with your receipt or confirmation email and return or exchange it in accordance with our Petco returns policy.

Tips are not required for Same Day Delivery – they are completely optional. If you do want to thank your delivery driver, they will receive 100% of the tip.
