Habitat

Setting up their new habitat is an extremely important part of new pet parenthood!

Many habitats seem similar, but there are some things to look for depending on which pet you take home.

  • Crested gecko

    Habitat Size
    10-20 gal tank for 1 gecko

    Key Elements of Habitat

    • Branches for hiding and climbing
    • Non-toxic plants
    • Crested geckos like to jump and climb, so height is important!

    Substrate
    Mulch-type

    Temperature Range
    Day: 75-80
    Night: 68-75

    Humidity
    >50%

    Misting Required?
    As needed

    UV Light Required?
    No

  • White's tree frog

    Habitat Size
    Varies based on number of frogs with tight screened lid

    Key Elements of Habitat

    • Heavily planted with moss, plants and logs
    • Tree frogs like to jump and climb, so height is important!

    Substrate
    Mulch-type (avoid gravel)

    Temperature Range
    Day: 75-80
    Night: 68

    Humidity
    70-90%

    Misting Required?
    Yes

    UV Light Required?
    Recommended

  • Leopard gecko
