Catnap Connoisseurs: Cat Beds & Warmers

A quality bed is a must-have.

At about eighteen hours a day, sleep is something your feline friend spends a lot of time doing – a quality bed is a must-have. With spring in the air, now is the time to spruce up your cat’s sleeping arrangement with something new and fresh. When exploring your options, keep in mind that comfort, space, warmth and privacy are crucial to your cat’s comfort. Consider several cat beds placed strategically throughout your house.

Bed options

Bed options are as unique as the cats that sleep in them, and whether it’s cardboard or cushions you’re bound to find a choice that’s just right for your favorite feline. Take a look at the options below to get an idea of what might work best.

Warming pads

A cat bed warmer is also a great addition to your cat’s sleeping situation. Many beds come with built-in heating pads that provide low-level heat. Heating pads shouldn’t be considered if your cat is immobile for any reason. If you decide to use a warmer pad, be sure to check the temperature and ensure that it doesn’t get too hot and keep the cord tucked away to ensure that your cat doesn’t chew on it.
