The difference between an adult and juvenile is remarkable. A juvenile will display blue, black and white stripes that will eventually change into the bright yellows and blues of the adult. Angelfish are solitary, territorial fish that startle easily, especially in a crowded environment. Aquarists need to take care in matching this angelfish with compatible saltwater aquarium fish. It is best that this angelfish be the only angel in the tank. Additionally, these large angelfish enjoy a lot of space, medium to large aquariums are recommended. Angelfish will feel more secure if you provide plenty of live rock so they can have ample hiding spots. If you have a reef tank, know that Angelfish tend to nip at corals and clam mantles. The beauty and delightful coloring of this saltwater aquarium fish makes it a true treasure for your aquarium.
